Saturday, September 10 – Days 27 & 28

FRIDAY – When Tom awakes in the morning, I always ask how he is FEELING. And he responds, “GROOVEY!” (Vincent van Gogh Art Experience)

Dear Family & Friends, GOOD NEWS!! Tom received a call from the Dr.’s office on Friday evening! The bone marrow biopsy results are GOOD! The arsenic and ATRA are working. Tom will not have to go in for chemo treatments this weekend. YEAH! He will have a couple of days to rest. On Monday, Tom will see the NP at the cancer center. We will keep you informed. GOD IS GOOD! Thank you prayer warriors for all your prayers!! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

FEELINGS – What an appropriate word from the healing chain today! Tom and I are so THANKFUL that the chemo and ATRA are working! We remain HOPEFUL in the journey. And JOYFUL for the gift of each day!

SATURDAY – The news for this day, Tom did not have to go to the cancer center for chemo!! Today is a good day! Tom was more alert throughout the day and resting. I know it’s frustrating for Tom feeling so fatigued! One day at a time.

COMMUNITY – is the healing word from the paper chain today. What a great COMMUNITY of family, friends, neighbors, church, choir groups, bible study groups, Pine community, MD Anderson Cancer Center-Dr’s, Nurses, Staff, Volunteers that we are connected to, that we belong to. Such an outpouring of love, support and prayers from all these different communities. For Tom and our family. Your kindness warms out hearts! THANK YOU! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ™

  1. It was so great to read that Tom woke up “Feelin’ Groovy” when he woke up yesterday! I am hoping that this trend continues. Now I can’t get that song out of my head. Sending Tom my prayers and all things groovy.

“Let the morning time drop all it’s petals on me.
Life, I love you. Feelin’ groovy.”
